Went to Pokingbrook Morris rehearsal last night. They're a team (actually, two single-sex teams) that I've thought highly of for a while, so now that I'll be living in Albany soon I thought it was time to join.

And it was just wonderful to be on a morris team again -- let alone a well-organized one, and a single-sex one at that! It gets better: they actually have enough musicians that I get to dance as well, which was not really true of my last team. They put me through my paces on some Ducklington stuff and a really cool Border-style stick dance (I did get to play a little as well). I could barely walk after 2 hours (concrete floor!), but it's good to be doing morris again after something like 5 years off. Had the time of my life; looking forward to more.

And they rehearse in the same room where I'd already been once for Cantus Concordiae.
